Charlotte Petersen

Charlotte Petersen was born in Germany in 1991 and received her preliminary training in classical ballet and modern dance in Münster. She then studied in ‘Codarts’ in Rotterdam and at the ‘Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten’ and received her diploma in Contemporary Stage Dance in 2015. As part of an internship, she danced for one season in the dance ensemble of the Staatstheater Mainz and rehearsed there with Sharon Eyal, among others. Since graduating, Charlotte has worked on a project basis, mainly in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. In recent years she has performed in several productions by Israeli choreographer Edan Gorlicki, worked with movement theatre director Barish Karademir at Staatstheater Darmstadt and Tafelhalle Nürnberg, and performed Ksenia Ravvina’s ‘Adolescence’ in the Ruhrtriennale programme. Between 2017 and 2019 she toured Europe with Lisbeth Gruwez’s production ‘The Sea Within’. In addition to her artistic work, Charlotte completed a certificate course in cultural management at KMM Hamburg and is currently doing a two-year voice training at the Jurij Vasiljev Academy.
